Care Guide: Washing & Drying
Caring for your Lila Zen garments properly ensures their longevity.
Washing
- Temperature & Detergent: We recommend washing all activewear in cold water with a small amount of mild liquid detergent.
- Separation: Garments should be washed separately from all other types of clothing, especially colored items and anything abrasive. Avoid fabric softeners.
- Leggings: All leggings are recommended to be hand washed.
- Cycle: Machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle. Use a quick wash program.
- Colorfastness: Lila Zen fabrics are colorfast. Please avoid washing these leggings with other colored garments, as dyes from other fabrics may bleed onto the white stripes or white mesh.
- If color transfer occurs: We recommend adding a scoop of OxiClean or using an oxygen-based bleach on the affected garment during the next wash. This usually removes all transferred color.
- Seamless Garments: All seamless items should be machine washed separately on a gentle cycle in cold water with mild detergent. Avoid contact with perfumes, dyes, brighteners, and softeners.
- General Note: Be aware that any kind of self-tanner or bronzing products may stain garments, and stains may not be completely removable.
Drying
- It is recommended to air dry all leggings naturally.
- Lay flat on a clean surface to dry. These leggings dry quickly and do not wrinkle.
- For seamless garments, we recommend laying them flat on a clean surface to dry.
Additional Care Tips
- Drawstrings: All garments with drawstrings should be tied in a bow before machine washing and drying.
- Ironing: Avoid ironing of any kind.
- Bleach: Stay away from bleach to keep colors bright.
- Washing Companions: Wash with similar colors and fabrics.
- Fabric Care: Be careful not to pull excessively on the top of the fabric with sharp nails, as this may cause small tears or holes.
- Camouflage Leggings: The print on camouflage leggings is sublimated; washing in warm water may cause the print to fade.
- Abrasive Damage: Avoid contact with Velcro, straps, or any abrasive items to prevent damage (especially for seamless garments).
